Driver Conduct Hearing

Driver Conduct Hearings

Often the compliance shortcomings of driver will trigger a DVSA investigation and call to a Driver conduct Hearing.

The Traffic Commissioner will consider whether a driver's conduct has fallen below the level expected of a professional HGV or PSV driver.

Common causes of a driver conduct hearing include mobile telephone convictions, bridge strikes, false tachograph records and totting up disqualifications.

Traffic commissioners must follow the Senior Traffic commissioner's statutory document No 6 on Vocational Driver Conduct  when deciding if an HGV or PSV driver is suspended or disqualified from holding a vocational licence. The Traffic Commissioners decision does not affect the driver's car licence.

I can help a driver to understand the process of the driver conduct hearing and be at their side to represent them at the hearing which is often conducted on-line using microsoft teams.
